The Client: South Cheshire Chamber of Commerce help local businesses by providing information, support and networking opportunities. The Chamber’s work includes supporting or opposing legislation or local plans affecting the business climate or conditions.
The Brief: To raise the profile of the Chamber through social media channels and to have a positive impact impact on event participation and membership. To increase the number of applications for their prestigious business awards and mentor their Marketing Officer to effectively manage marketing communications to over 320 members.
The Project: Initially I managed their social media platforms for the first two months to create clear messaging, momentum and consistency. Once this was running effectively, I then mentored the Chambers Marketing Officer on a monthly basis, setting goals each month and creating bespoke 1-2-1 training to enable her to confidently manage the Chamber’s marketing communications.
We would meet in person once a month, followed-up by a phone call every two weeks. Our sessions focused on social media messaging, creating a consistent marketing plan and project management of their social media platforms. Each message was pre-planned and carefully constructed to rally support for the business awards and gain a better understanding of the Chamber in their local networks.
What the client thought:
“Fiona is not only extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of marketing and social media, but she delivers her expertise in a way anyone can understand.
If you don’t understand anything, Fiona’s approachable way of working makes you feel comfortable in asking questions and opening dialogue.
In short, she delivers results, and is a pleasure to work with.” Jon Barnes, Operations Manager.
What we achieved: A staggering increase of double the amount of award applications than the previous year and 430% increase in post engagement & interaction on social media platforms over a 5 month period.
